Our First Aid Training was carried out by West Yorkshire Health and Training - they tailored the training to the needs of Street Angels and offered a very in depth and professional course - they also offer Health and Safety, Food Safety, Manual Handling, Risk Assesment, Fire Safety amongst others.

The Association of Town Centre Managers may well be a good link within the town, businesses, council, police, etc - www.atcm.org

Facebook is a social networking web site which is a great way to communicate your project and help your volunteers feel part of the bigger picture - www.facebook.com - you can sign up your project for a free account which gives you a profile - add pictures, video, friends, comments, news items, etc. You can also look for other local people / organisations / businesses and invite them to become your friend - which helps them be part of what you are doing! Halifax Street Angels has both a page and a group.
Twitter is a great way of updating people with news of your project through short status updates and easily link it to your projects web site - you can also follow (and be followed by) the likes of 10 Downing Street, local MP's, local Council, media, etc - www.twitter.com
