Halifax Street Angels has the support and praise from a wide range of agencies and organisations. One of the keys to the success of the project is the partnership work we carry out and encourage. Below is a list of those we work in parternship with and some of the bodies we are members of / received awards from for the work we carry out:


Calderdale Compact - Halifax Street Angels is a member of Calderdale Compact which is designed to improve relationships between different organisations, in paticular public bodies and the third sector. More information on the Compact web site.



Christian Nightlife Initiatives Network
- Halifax Street Angels launched the CNI Network in July 2007 to facilitate a network of faith based night economy projects. Through CNI Network many towns and cities have received resources and help to launch Street Angels and similar projects - see web site.



Christians Together Halifax
- a registered charity and limited company set up to oversee the work of Halifax Street Angels, Fairtrade Cafe and several other Christian based initiatives.


Churches Together Halifax
- a group that brings together the churches in the Halifax area to action projects such as Street Angels - see the web site.



City Links Redeeming our Communities
- an organisation promoting partnerships for spirtual and social transformation through prayer and action. City Links works closely with the Police in various cities across the UK and Street Angels is one of its partner organisations - web site.



Community Foundation for Calderdale
- a funding body distributing funds to projects in Calderdale - in 2007 CFfC made Street Angels its Project of the Year which contributed funding and support to Street Angels. See the web site.



Duke of York's Community Initiative Award
- this fantastic accolade was presented to Halifax Street Angels in September 2007 at an award ceremony in Doncaster attended by HRH Duke of York. See web site.



Faithworks
- an organisation aiming to empower and inspire Christians to develop their role at the hub of their communities. Our umberella organisation is a member of Faithworks and Halifax Street Angels adheres to the The Faithworks Charter. See web site.



Faithworks Community Excellence Award
- Halifax Street Angels was short-listed for this national award in 2007/08 out of nearly 200 applicants. Although we did not win it was a honour for a new organisation to make it to the final few!


Halifax Ambassadors
- provide on-street customer service presence in Halifax town centre during the day. The Ambassadors also run the CCTV Night-Link radio scheme which Street Angels are part of. See web site.



Halifax Town Centre Management
/ Marketing Halifax - an organisation aiming to enhance the town centre for all users through various means. Street Angels are members TCM. See web site.



Halifax Town Centre Neighbourhood Police
- Halifax Street Angels works closely with the NPT in Halifax Town Centre, including a briefing from the police in Fairtrade Cafe every Friday and Saturday night. See Neighbourhood Policing web site / West Yorkshire Police web site.


Halifax Town Centre PubWatch
- Halifax Street Angels attend the monthly PubWatch meetings.


Halifax YMCA
- is a joint partner with Churches Together in Halifax in running Street Angels and provides insurance cover for volunteers as well as the Fairtrade Cafe base.


Home Office Tilley Award
- in a joint bid with Halifax Ambassadors, Street Angels won the Government Office for Yorkshire and Humber Tilley Award in 2008. This annual award is to highlight problem solving approaches to enable crime reduction. See web site.


Investing in Volunteers Award
- Halifax Street Angels are holders of this prestigious award which shows our commitment to working with and for volunteers - the very people who make Street Angels happen week in and week out. This was funded by Voluntary Action Calderdale and Capacity Builders (sub-regional). For more information on IIV see web site.


Nightlife Marshals
- work alongside Street Angels in Halifax on Friday and Saturday's between 10.30pm and 4am. The Marshals are trained doorstaff with SIA badges.


Totally Locally
- Halifax Street Angels and Fairtrade Cafe are part of this initiative encouraging local shopping and entertainment - web site



Voluntary Action Calderdale
- offer support, training and guidance to voluntary and community groups in Calderdale. VAC carry out all Street Angels CRB (Criminal Record Bureau) checks. See web site.



West Yorkshire Police Community Trust
- have supported Street Angels since our launch and have provided various amounts of funding.
