Halifax Ice Sculpture Trail

Halifax Town Centre Management have teamed up with The Halifax (bank) and Marks and Spencers to put together the very first Halifax Ice Sculpture Trail on Sunday 16th December.

Ever wondered how ice sculptures are carved? Ever seen them in the movies and wanted to see them in real life? Well now is your chance to get up close and watch a live carving demonstration on Sunday 16th December between 10am and 4pm in Halifax town centre.

For the first time ever an ice sculpture trail of 6 well known Christmas related features will be placed around Halifax town centre during shopping hours on Sunday 16th December. Visitors will be encouraged to stop and watch the sculptors at work on a live carving in the new covered Westgate Arcade. Also people will be encouraged to get up close and touch the sculptures.

A trail has been produced to lead people around the town centre to ensure that visitors do not miss the opportunity to view all the stunning designs. Marks and Spencers are offering a prize of a £50 hamper to one lucky winner who completes the ice sculpture trail competition. Entry forms are availa
