Street Angels is 20!
Can you believe that Street Angels celebrate 20 years this year whilst Street Chaplains in Dundee marks 25 years!
Since our humble beginnings in Halifax in November 2005 we have helped replicate the model across the UK and beyond. Many of our projects have seen violent crime and anti-social behaviour reduced and communities changed for the better.
Spin-off initiatives such as Club Angels, Festival Angels, train-station Angels, Community Angels and work with the homeless community have been supported to set up by ROC Angels (the national network that was started in 2008). Thousands of volunteers have become part of the Angels family and over the years tens of thousands of people helped and supported.
We invite local projects, friends, churches and others to mark 20 years of Street Angels in some way from November 2025 through to our 21st in November 2026 - after all 20 years is a celebration for all to be part of!

Thanks to sponsorship from Calderdale Council towards Street Angels 20th Celebrations. Calderdale Council have worked in partnership since we launched in 2005 to help make Street Angels a success as it started and as the concept was replicated around the UK and overseas. The Chief Executive of Calderdale Council, Robin Tuddenham, comments:

September marks the 25th anniversary since ROCK Street Chaplains started in Dundee!
Since September 2000 the team have expanded into other towns including Broughty Ferry and Montrose in Scotland, and Lurgan, Newcastle, and Ballymoney in Northern Ireland, as well as expanding the ministry with Festival Chaplains and Club Chaplains.
