It is almost a year that Arun Angels patrols have been on the streets of Bognor Town Centre offering support and help to those who might be vulnerable in the late night environment. The response from people has been overwhelmingly positive and many people come up to us in the street to say how much they appreciate Arun Angels being there.
You are invited to join us in celebrating our first year. It will be relatively informal but we hope to hear from several people who have been involved (or representatives) from various partners & volunteers. The celebration will be at St Wilfrid’s Church on Saturday 4th December (one year to the day from our launch night). Starting at 7.30pm or soon after, I am hoping that we’ll hear some stories and outcomes of our patrols from myself and first hand experiences from some of our volunteers. We will also have a short time of prayer of thanksgiving and continued safety on the street of Bognor for all those who work in or enjoy the night-time environment. There will be light refreshments afterwards and a chance to meet and chat to volunteers and others who are involved. Please let me know if you are able to come so that we can plan for the right numbers. If you know of anyone who is interested in the work, either through a desire to become part of a Street patrol or to support Arun Angels in other ways, they are also welcome to join us. Just let us know, if you can, how many people will be attending. Derek Baker Project Coordinator Arun Angels [email protected] Comments are closed.
