A STREET Angels group which patrols in Littlehampton, Arundel and Bognor Regis has received a donation of £1,000. Sussex Police donated the money to Arun Angels to help pay for training and equipment for new volunteers. Arun Angels is a Street Angels scheme in Bognor, Littlehampton and Arundel that has been in operation since 2009. Every weekend the Arun Angels are out on the streets of Arun engaging with vulnerable and intoxicated people. Sussex Police said their ‘much-valued’ community work supports them in preventing crime and anti-social behaviour. Inspector Oliver Fisher said: “This donation is to help ensure Arun Angels can continue to support those in our community who at the weekend may find themselves vulnerable through intoxication or other circumstances. “The work is a valuable contribution towards reducing crime and antisocial behaviour in our towns.” Comments are closed.
