 Jean Hurlston founder of Oldham Street Angels writes: This photo was taken at the Greater Manchester Police awards evening in January 2013 where I received the Community Award for setting up Oldham Street Angels. Presented by Chief Superintendent Tim Forber & Mayor of Oldham. The Chief Superintendent reckoned Street Angels' presence contributed to the 12% drop in town centre crime. Dragged Jen up to receive the award with me cos without her I couldn't have done it. It really is a community project; our team of volunteers are amazing & totally committed. It's an affirmation that the work must go on. Thanks everyone for all that you do. X
