Headingley Street Angels launch their logo design to celebrate their 1st Birthday. The logo, designed by Monir Irani, a student from Leeds Metropolitan University kindly offered her time putting her skills forward as part of the student volunteering service. A number of logo's were submitted and the volunteers chose the design by Monir to represent the Headingley team. The Angels look back on the last 12 months with some great achievements; they have been accepted as part of the “student nightlife” offering support and guidance to all who pass their footsteps, and are greeted with great support and enthusiasm to all they meet. The community have seen a significant difference in the area, and at their local police community meetings, they are always to keen to know how the “angels are doing”. PC Sara Barrie and Rev. Merryweather founders of the Headingley team said “our volunteer base is growing from strength to strength, and we are excited and looking forward to another interesting year!
