Dear all,
Our heart is full of Joy and gratitude as we thank God on the occasion of celebrating 10 years of God's FAITHFULNESS and His support for the privilege of adding value to lives and impacting the society through community engagement. We aim to continue in being relevant to individuals and families within our church and those outside on the streets, whom we desire to reach with an expression of God's love. This is the reason for inviting you to join us on Sunday 3rd of March for An In-House Conference on Community Projects, as we launch the movement of LOVE YOUR STREET - LONDON. Our dream and goal is that one day soon, all the streets in London would be adopted, loved and cared for by specific individuals, groups and organizations. We would also be introducing and creating awareness for a TLG Educational Centre, a Care for the Family led Parental class and Joint Effort Tuition for Primary school Children. (http://www.kingsborough.org.uk) VENUE: 1st Floor Legion House, 854 Uxbridge Road. Hayes. UB4 0RP Dignitaries that would attend to inspire, enlighten and share their experiences with us include: LAWRENCE SINGLEHURST: A regular speaker at major events, such as Spring Harvest, and cell conferences worldwide. He is currently Director of Cell UK, which involves him in working with numerous churches. His particular passion is equipping churches to reach their communities, with an emphasis on network evangelism, which is empowered by cell church values. He is the author of Sowing Reaping Keeping, Loving the Lost and Beyond the Clouds. PAUL BLAKEY: Founder of Halifax Street Angels, a project which, with the help of an amazing team of volunteers, has made a massive difference in Halifax and over seventy towns and cities across the UK. Founded in November 2005 the scheme has seen violent crime and sexual assaults reduce dramatically in the town centre and have helped make the town a much better and more vibrant place on Friday and Saturday nights. Because of Paul's contribution to community safety he was awarded a MBE (Most Excellent Member of the British Empire) in the New Years Honors 2010 by Her Majesty the Queen. To accommodate the expansion of Street Angels Paul founded the Christian Nightlife Initiatives (CNI) Network in July 2008, which has helped over one hundred towns and cities across the UK to launch similar projects. MIKE ROYAL: Mike Royal is National Director at TLG, a Christian charity working with children and young people at risk of exclusion from school across the UK. Mike's role with TLG consists of establishing partnerships with churches across the UK to deliver alternative education programs to young people in their communities who are at crisis point in their education. He is passionate about empowering the local church to engage with one of the hardest to reach groups in society. Mike is also involved in a senior role working for Street Pastors, works part-time as a mental health Chaplain, is part of the national steering group for Redeeming Our Communities and chairs a Government policy-working group on Youth Justice Reform. He is passionate about social justice and his specialties are "educational failure" and "gang culture" and how the church can respond to these issues. COUNCILOR ALAN KAUFFMAN: He is a councilor for South Ruislip and the Deputy Mayor of Hillingdon. His interest for problem solving and getting things done with skills acquired during his long career in the construction industry is a notable quality of his life. He is a governor at Bishop Ramsey CofE School. Allan has worked on many local projects in his four years as ward councilor, and is passionate to build on that experience and continue to make a difference. Yours Sincerely Pastor Tunde Balogun Comments are closed.
