Launching on the day of the National Day of Prayer event at Wembley Stadium - Saturday 29th September - Street Angels - CNI Network is calling people to a month of prayer for work within the night-time economy.
The month is to encourage people to pray for the work of Local Projects in over 100 communities across the UK, Europe and Australia and for initiatives such as Love Your Streets and #Do1NiceThing which are part of our legacy of the Wembley day and part of the Neighbourhood Prayer Network. Prayer pointers will be added to our Facebook and Twitter pages (#CNIPrayer) with a more general prayer guide included on our web site. Paul Blakey MBE, founder of Street Angels - CNI Network, said of the month, "Following on from the fantastic day at Wembley, when tens of thousands of people will gather specifically to pray for our nation, we want to encourage people to pray for the communities where our local projects are making a massive difference. We also encourage prayer for new opportunities to open up, for a greater reduction in crime, for those we partner with and those who volunteer." Bishop of Pontefract and Patron of SA-CNI, Rt. Revd. Tony Robinson, comments, "Please do support the very important work being done on our streets each week by the teams of volunteers associated with the Christian Nightlife Initiatives. There work is a great example of Christian witness and service." Street Angels - CNI Network is an umbrella organisation supporting and resourcing over 100 local projects working within the night-time economy.
