A team of 16 people from Dundee Street Chaplains, Stockton Town Pastors, Boro' Angels, Halifax Street Angels and Share Jesus International visited Edinburgh over the August Bank Holiday weekend. This was the final weekend of the Festival, Fringe and Tattoo. We made links with several organisations at work in this massive city and hope to support the longer term work happening there. We may well be organising a trip to Edinburgh next year and, for now, limited edition CNI Network Edinburgh Festival polo shirts in sizes L and XL are available for £15 - email Paul SA-CNI joined with several other agencies as part of More Than Gold during the London Olympics. With Games Pastors proving a hit at and around transport hubs and the #LondonTrailer touring parks, high streets and estates across the capital we contributed to the joy and great atmosphere in London over the 2 weeks. Conversation with a Games Pastor... "Sorry the football ground called Hampden Park is not in London and your Oyster card won't get you there" (Hampden Park is in Glasgow!) Paul was interviewed on Sky News as part of a feature looking at anti-social behaviour and a call to provide training to those who serve on the front-line. The report was featured throughout the evening on the Sky News channel - see here for the report. Bolton Street Angels had two influential visitors recently - the High Sheriff of Greater Manchester and the MP for West Bolton. Read more and see the pictures here. Paul is working with Pastor Tunde from Kingsborough Centre in Uxbridge (part of the Redeemed Christian Church of God network) on Love Your Streets - we are aiming to launch LYS:Pray which will lay the challenge for prayer and action in every street across the UK.
