Skipton Street Angels celebrated four years of working on the streets of Skipton with a celebration event which commissioned new Street Angel volunteers and combined with the Skipton Town Council Civic Service. Mayor of Skipton, Cllr. Wendy Clark is a volunteer with the Street Angels and made the project her charity of the year. The prayer below was said as part of the commissioning when the churches, Mayor and civic dignitaries welcomed and thanked the Street Angels for the work they do and the impact they have had on the town: God our Father, bless all the members of the Street Angels project Direct and guide them in their work. Give them integrity and courage in their dealings with the people they meet. Sustain them in difficulties. Help them to work together in unselfish and cheerful comradeship.
