Apologies for the lateness of this newsletter but we wanted to hold the June issue to link in with the visit to Number 10 Downing Street by Paul and Jean Blakey and Steve and Hazel Brock. The reception with the Prime Minister is part of our Big Society Award win and will see us sharing the work of local projects across the UK and around the world with those in political leadership.
This is also a new start for SA-CNI Network and we hope this letter explains all. Please do share this with your steering group / trustees, etc. Another thanks to Adam May for all he has invested over the last 15 months into the work of CNI Network - we will keep you up to date as he continues to develop his ministry in new ways...
It is fantastic that since December 2011 we have supported 22 local areas to launch (or be on the road to launching) projects within the night-time economy. The work of Street Angels - CNI Network is key to claiming back our town and city centres on weekend evenings - thank you for the part you play in this...
There is so much happening on a weekly basis - do like us on Facebook where updates are posted on a regular basis...
Street Angels - CNI Network is working with FGBMFI, Share Jesus International and More Than Gold on a specially adapted trailer that will be used throughout London during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The trailer has a PA system, lights, hot water boiler and will be used for community events and church outreach.
Please pray for this and if you have any links with people or churches in London that may want to make use of the trailer please email...
We are also looking at the possibility of using the trailer in Edinburgh over the August Bank Holiday weekend as CNI work with Street Chaplains on outreach to the hundreds of thousands at the Edinburgh Festival...
More Than Gold and Praise Bus:
As the Olympic Torch makes its way across the UK it is great to see CNI linked projects helping with stewarding and hosting the Praise Bus that is going ahead of the Torch Relay by an hour. You can keep up to date with the Praise Bus on the web site and Facebook .
The Praise Bus is part of a 70 day of prayer which is following the torch route with a prayer relay. As the torch completes its journey do join with praying for the towns it will pass through.
We are still looking for Games Pastors as there has been an increase in the number of venues wanting to see Games Pastors deployed. See here. We are also looking for accommodation for Games Pastors volunteers from within Street Angel - CNI projects in London - if you can offer a spare bed or floor space over the time of the Olympics and you are within easy travel distance of London please email email@example.com

Blackpool Street Angels launched on Saturday 16th June - here is a report from Alan Rhodes and Paul Rawson from Blackpool...
Support from the ‘Secular Community’ i.e. Blackpool Council, The NightSafe Partnership, Pubwatch, Door Staff & Lancashire Police has exceeded all BFSA Management expectations & is nothing less than miraculous.
Blackpool & the Fylde Street Angels are a ‘Christian Based’ initiative & we really do want and need ‘MORE’ support involvement & volunteers from the Blackpool & Fylde Churches & ‘Christian Community’. This is ‘YOUR’ project, a chance for the churches of the Blackpool & Fylde, to become ‘Practically’ involved in making a difference in their towns and local communities: to be the eyes, ears, hands and feet of Jesus where they are needed the most.
Jesus in the book of Luke, in reply to the question: “And who is my neighbour?” told the story of the ‘Good Samaritan’. A man who fell into the hands of robbers, who beat him and left him half dead by the side of the road. A priest past by & left him, so did a Levite: but a ‘Samaritan’, a man from a tribe who hate Jews with a vengeance, stopped and showed ‘Compassion’ on the man, bandaged his wounds, took him to a safe place & took care of him. At the end of the story Jesus asks a question: “Who of these 3 do you think PROVED to be a good neighbour?”… The man replied “The one who showed mercy towards the man” & Jesus said: “GO & DO THE SAME”!!
At 02:30am this very morning: our team of Street Angels came upon a young lady of around 20 years of age, in severe distress; she was virtually unable to walk and collapsed in the middle of the main road, losing her dignity in more ways than one. Our team had to pick up her handbag, her expensive mobile phone and physically pick her up and carry her to the NightSafe Bus, where she was looked after and cared for by the nurses on board. Can you just imagine, what ‘Could’ have happened if our team had not come across her & there had been no bus?
Please ‘Come & Do LIKEWISE’ CHURCHES we need and want your support: spread the word, get involved & be an ‘Angel’
God bless & Keep You
