A good friend of Street Angels - CNI, John Edwards, is about to embark on a cycle ride from John O'Groats to Lands End. John has an amazing story of addiction, homelessness and despair to a life helping others with these issues find hope and purpose in life. He is part of Abundant Life Church in Bradford and in past years walked across the UK and America with an eleven foot cross!John has seen the work of Street Angels first hand and is impressed by its approach to community issues. As he cycles in July he would like to link up with existing projects where possible and share the concept of Street Angels in other towns as a lasting legacy to his walk. He is hoping to travel down the East Coast of Scotland and then roughly follow the A1 / M1 down to London, then west around London to the coast then along to Cornwall. John will be leaving in the first week of July and envisages it taking 3 to 4 weeks. If your project is near this route it would be great if you could link up with John. He is available on evenings for testimony outreach events or for training around street evangelism - both with an aim of showing there is no such thing as a hopeless case. John has such a gripping story it would be an ideal event for inviting those you have built links with on the streets or, through the training, would equip your volunteers to better reach those with addictions.
