Street Angels - Christian Nightlife Initiatives Network are holding a one day conference in York. The day, on Saturday 12th April, aims to resource and equip those who volunteer on the front-line of communities within the night-time economy. The day will include speaker Jarrod Cooper who is senior minister of New Life Church in Hull, broadcaster and writer of the worship song "King of King's, Majesty". Singer Philippa Hanna, who has recently toured with Wet, Wet Wet, will be leading worship throughout the day and at an evening concert. Workshops will include: an insight into counter terrorism; looking at ways of supporting young ladies who want to move away from the binge drink culture; encouraging and promoting busking and live music within the night-time economy; setting up a 'Club Angels' initiative; and an introduction to 'I.Am' a short film which introduces people to a loving and forgiving God through 'pop up' cinemas. The day runs from 10am - 4pm with the evening concert starting at 7.30pm.
